Another group was parked in Matkatamibia Canyon when we passed so the plan was to camp here and take the hike back as described in the Rivermaps Guide. We had one experienced technical climber attempt it but he reported it to be too time-consuming and hard for the group. It is easy to be float by this camp before recognizing it which is what we did. Several of us took it to be part of the Matkat Hotel campsite instead. We ended up lining two boats back to camp. The view down river and upriver. Worked but not a very good campsite.
