Once we had walked down from the airstrip, only took minutes to finish rigging and launch. Both of us noted the perfectly calm conditions and concentrated on making miles. Worked hard and steady to get twenty over flat water. Water so flat, that I don't think we saw a single ripple. Empty swallow nests were a precursor to the rarity of wildlife seen on this trip.
