Looking back at Mineral Bottom seconds after launching. Previous nights rain had created a bog at the ramp. Note the big pile of dirt to the right of the crowd. This would in normal times be the ramp. Had my first experience with the famous Green River mud just prior to pushing off. Made a naive attempt to step into the river to adjust a tiedown strap. Quickly sank in over my knee and threatened to take off my bootie. About 15 people taking out after their trip down to Mineral Bottom from either Ruby Ranch or Green River. Biggest zoo day of the trip.
