We were determined to avoid the winds seen yesterday so had a 7:30 start. It was a needless worry as calm prevailed and actually had us at the takeout prior to the shuttle arriving. The Hwy 288 bridge can be seen for some distance downriver. It was an excellent trip with the only glitch being the stove fuel. Two hours after arriving the shuttle happened and we left the Salt River hazards behind.
