The view at the top was worth the hike and for a change, no hurricane was blowing. Mule Ear Diatreme, a most prominent landmark, cannot be missed on the skyline. The San Juan passes by Chinle Wash before disappearing into the first narrows. Comb Wash is just visible in the bottom right of the photo. All springtime trips to the desert must have at least one cacti in bloom picture and this is no exception.
