Left Desolation Canyon and entered Gray Canyon today. Scenery and campsites were downscale compared to previous days. We were cold from the rain and sleet and the thought of getting wet in Coal Creek was not pleasant. So Mark skipped the upper portion and I paid attention - Coal Creek (a), Coal Creek (b), Coal Creek (c), and Coal Creek (d). Campsites were not as plentiful and we settled on a small site just above Rattlesnake Rapid (4).
