There was a sense of anticipation on-river as we worked through Pendejo Curve, Upper and Lower Corral, and the Maze. Jump Off Canyon is a beautiful canyon but thoughts of Quartzite and Corkscrew cloud vision. We scout Quartzite before running it. Corkscrew probably the toughest rapid of the trip. With the SOAR hull and oarwing configuration, it was decided to portage that boat. The bandit attempt was clean, my run much less so but somehow stayed upright.
