Confluence of the West and East forks of the Gila. After spending two hours driving the 45 miles from Silver City to the Grapevine Campground, realize the shuttle money is more than worthwhile. Shuttle took so long we arrived only five minutes before the NPS visitor center and dwellings closed so did not play tourist. The campground was only yards from the East Fork of the Gila, which we really wanted to launch from. But the riverside approach/rig area was difficult compared to the bridge so passed. Cold that night....24 degrees.
