Mark, the trip leader and planner. Solo kevlar with a heavy but well balanced load. We struggled with the wind every day. The solos much more so than the tandem. Mark made better time against the wind than did the cat, but had to be careful to keep pointed downriver. JPW Cutthroat II with nineteen inch tubes. For some reason that I did not fully comprehend, got stuck with crapper duty. Had a good time on the river with this boat.
