Day 2 - Lay over in Horse Thief Canyon
Trying to find the first of two possible exit routes out of the canyon. Nada. Even with GPS waypoint info, could not find any way over the canyon wall. The day was a little warm, otherwise, probably the best weather of the trip. At fourteen plus miles, had to be careful to avoid blisters.
Upper portion of the canyon
was definitely worth doing. Supposedly the water is to be found year around, but I doubt it would be so
plentiful in three months
. Too bad the first three to four miles were on the bland side. Catching the
waterfalls
after a shower would be something to schedule in.
