This day brought home the reality of how up-canyon winds were going to effect the trip. Dreams of leisurely floating downriver vanished and never came back. The afternoons were brutal enough that a couple of times we just called it quits. Short days on the river eventually led to a scheduling crunch that was only solved by sunrise launches. Brought back quite a bit of pancake mix as a result.
