Day 1 - Clarno Bridge to River Mile 107
Clarno a good spot to rig-up with lots of staging space, although the ramp itself was fairly small. The ramp could be a bottleneck if more than a couple groups launching. Fortunately for us, only one other couple were rigging their raft at the same time. Took them at face value about a very nice campsite being only a few minutes below the ramp. Did not even get a look at
Clarno bridge
except from the distance. River left turned out to be an
impenetrable wall of vegetation set in muck while r
iver right had a six foot cliff wall
set just before a private fence-line. Both sides of the river were private with much in the way of irrigation sprinkling underway.
