Scenery, never bad, gradually becomes better the further down-river we go. Eagle Bend Rapid (II) consists of a left turn guarded by 2-3 small boulders. The rapids are rated (IMHO) for canoes and are easier than noted when pushing rubber. Felt good to finally be underway on such a pleasant day. First stop was the well-known Ward Ranch. At 1-2 hours into the trip, it's a good spot for a snack, sightseeing, and to read/sign the visitor log.
