Confluence of the Rio Gallina. Nice but also obvious the best is upriver. With the higher flows, dodging rocks were not an issue as is the norm. The fact that I solo run nine Class II/III's with only boat scouting gives some idea of the skill level required. Meandering Rapid and Screaming Left were the most interesting. Focused enough on the 4 named rapids surrounding the takeout that gradually came to believe that it had been passed by. Very upset, I stopped riverside and hiked all of ten yards before seeing the van. Turns out I was 30 yards and a river bend from Big Eddy.
