Thought it might be a tough haul to beat across the river bottom from Butler Wash to Desecration Panel, but turned out to be easy once past the first 40 yards of tammies. Not many people visit this panel which has a lot of good stuff on it. The downstream canyon hike, though interesting, did not turn up much. Most noteworthy was this golden alcove of which no photo seem to catch the color.
