Day 6 - Sea Cliff Camp to Jones Hole #4 Camp.
As we hiked about, could not help but notice there was a lot of
trail signage
, some of which advised you to not
get crushed
or
eaten
. Once back, we spent a good hour observing a
group
of
sheep grazing
right in the
camp
. I had never noticed before, but the sheep had
horizontal pupils
. Round pupils are usually associated with active foraging while verticals are typically ambush foragers such as reptiles. I'm not sure what the horizontals have evolved for outside of ambush detection, but it has made for some interesting Googling.
