Upper Green River - May 2012 - Flaming Gorge Dam to Lodore Launch - Part 2 of 6
The scene just below Flaming Gorge Dam. Late afternoon, and a lot of smoke in the sky.
We camped at Jackson Creek, a very nice site. This was the only place on the entire trip (above Lodore) that I needed my Eco-safe river toilet. Every other camp had established out-houses or was cat-holes.
With plenty of time on our hands, we relaxed in Jackson Creek camp, enjoying perfect weather and lovely scenery. Even so our fast and light style made it impossible to slack off enough to get on the river later than 10:45.
