Hate getting up at 3:30 AM in order to meet the scheduled 5 AM start. Quite a bit of packing still required, but everyone tossed in and we were driving away by 5:30. Roughly a three hour drive from Phoenix to Chino Valley where we picked up Rich. Met the shuttle drivers at the Hualapai Lodge where we also picked up our permits. The road from Peach Springs to Diamond Creek is notoriously bad and for the second time, caused problems with the trailer by bending the tongue triangle.
