At the low flows, Travertine Rapid had a big wave train which made it very difficult to catch the eddy below the rapid. View down to the river and looking up the canyon. The climb up would be pretty sketchy without the ropes and ladders but is scenic, restful, and refreshing. We beached boats and set camp at upper Travertine Falls but slept closer to lower Travertine Falls. BBQ beef with potato salad was well appreciated that night. Travertine Canyon video.
