Day 3 - Spencer Canyon to River Mile 274

The lowering of Lake Mead has left 20-30 foot high silt banks for shoreline. These are continously eroding away and the resulting collapses are both a hazard and a nuisance. They did not help my eyesight to get caught in one either. From lower Quatermaster to Pearce, the established camps disappear and free form sandbar camping is the only choice. Although this sandbar got a thumbs-down from the crew, the experienced hands thought another one not likely and it was not that bad. It was close quarters though and the snoring was obnoxious. The last hail storm was a stunner.
