Day 4 - River Mile 274 to Pearce Ferry

Most people were up before dawn. Ten hours in a damp tent will do that. We assumed the skies were clearing until thunder boomed, and kept booming. Rockslide. Although the fresh rock in the photo doesn't look like much, all of us thought the sound and debri cloud amazing. The morning showers went unused as we broke camp. Columbine Falls dead ahead as we stroke through the last 6 miles. Unfortunately the canyon was fast disappearing and silt ditches became the river feature. Bittersweet emotions with only an hour left on-river.
