Cannot speak for others in the party, but this is why I do rivers. Can it get any better? On-river 1, on-river 2, on-river 3, on-river 4, and on-river 5. Although the plan is to make Surprise Canyon, the day is done at Spencer Canyon. This allows for a short hike although supposedly not that of the quality in Surprise Canyon. Spencer is also a very nice campsite and allows for some riverside doctoring. The Leg video.
