This view is below the hot springs with the SFR a mile downstream. Entering from the left, the SFR was the same color as the Gila. Normally it is the more silt-free of the two. Although others might not agree, I always consider this the start of the 'Box'. We spent quite a bit of the time playing tourist at the confluence. It was fairly hard to find a decent campsite with the recent flush leaving most spots wet or stripped. Dusk by the time we agreed upon one.
