Only item on the June 21st agenda is to drive 400 miles from Newport Oregon to the Wallowa River at Oregon's Minam State Campground. Most sites appeared taken but a few of the smaller riverside tentsites still open so grab one. Every site except for a couple had some sort of float rig on it so the thought of onriver campsite shortages popped to mind. A baseless fear as it turned out. To kill time before retiring to a paco pad in the van, walked the four miles roundtrip between the Minam RAP and campground studying the Wallowa river.
