Have planned for two years now to explore Jasper Canyon but have passed each time. Mark and myself discussed bringing rope/harness to try to get into the canyon from the dryfall, but didn't feel it was worth it. NPS has now forbidden access to this canyon. Private high school group of two adults and twelve students here when we passed. Our transient groups this year were the students, minimalist solo Fred, and the obnoxious ski bums that were headed for Cataract.
