I really like this little visited canyon. Small enough to feel at home in and large enough to spend all day exploring. Midway into the valley we made a right turn and worked to the rim. Hung around there until mid-afternoon, then tried to get to the Spanish Trail but stalled out. Ended up retracing our steps, finishing the valley, then ledge walked below the rim (started to get dodgy) until we caught the trail. Foot over the Colorado. Days like this make all the preparation and dicking around to make it happen worthwhile. Rim walking with Van Morrison playing and the Doll House at mid-left.
