Day 2 - El Vado Ranch to Ponderosa Camp
We were in no rush to rig as we couldn't decide to launch or not. Let myself get spooked at the flow even though the river lost it's edge when it dropped from 6,000 to 4,500 CFS. Part of the issue was there was no history to fall back on for what the river is like at this level. Never read a TR where flow was over 2,000. The other party launching (3 IK's) that day decide to go which influences me. So
we start
. It
feels odd
knowing Lucy will not be sitting behind me and her missing dry bag is conspicuous. But soon the usual
rigging contortions
are over and
we are ready
.
