San Juan River - June 2016 - Layover Day at River House Ruin
It was a layover day of hanging around camp, short hikes, and exploration. Chaz and Terrie first did Bartons and then
Comb Wash
to explore a fossil bed. This hike was unusual in finding a
King snake
working the cliff wall. I both worked the cliff line above
River House
and hung around above
Cottonwood Camp
reading and taking
time-lapse movies
of the river. Notice how the wind has some decent gusts. Enough so that within an hour
this happened
. With a broken LCD display, photography for the rest of the trip was severely curtailed.
