Never, ever, seen such a crowded Sand Island morning. In addition to the AIRE Tomcat squadron, several of the next day's launches were inquiring about which campsites might be available. Also unusual was the rare group photo which consisted of the bladder boys (Gene-AZ, Rich-WI), the swim any second now duo (Bonner-MT, Jim-WA), and the can you carry any of my gear trip leader (Mark-WA). It turned out to be an exceptionally well-meshed and well-adjusted group.
